This is a photo of me, Christina Sauer, your teacher. I was drawn to Pilates because I too suffered from chronic pain. I share my knowledge of anatomy along with so many ways to keep exercising while working through pain.

Balance Body Certified Pilates -over 15 years experience.

I found Pilates due to chronic pain. Pilates has given me help from previous injuries and conditions. Just like anyone, I have days where chronic pain is present but thanks to the immense library of exercises I have learned, I can find ways to keep my body going despite pain.

If you have been dealing with chronic pain that comes from work or just life, my therapeutic sessions are the best place for you to start. I gather as much information in our consult to get you to where you feel confident using the machines and doing more workouts at home.

If you have been told you have osteopenia or osteoporosis, my therapeutic sessions will help you exercise without worry of breaking a bone. You will still need to consult with your doctor about whether physical therapy is a better place to start depending on your DEXA scan information. Scoliosis may make doing an at home program difficult; you may wonder if you are doing an exercise correctly or you may feel like one side of your body just feels tighter. In my therapeutic sessions, I can observe how you work in a exercise and give you adjustments or a better exercise that your body may respond better to.

My certifications in Barre help you get standing work loading and stretching hip muscles that help you walk up stairs or get into a car.

The Bodhi Suspension System is a rope system like TRX; with it I can help you do balance exercises and find your core while allowing gravity help you. The Oov is a balance prop I use for those working on better ankle strength with foot mobility. My Pilates Comprehensive training was completed in 2011 through Balance Body, a highly recognized school for Pilates and seller of Pilates equipment. You can be confident that my over 600 hours of training has equipped me to guide you on any equipment with safety in mind. My continual education in Biomechanics gives you the confidence I know which exercises target the exact muscles you want to work and get you the results you want.

If you seek a more athletic style training and you’re not a competing athlete, I can help you get to a level of training the combines Pilates & Strength Training.

Regardless of your age and goals, I can get you to a place of renewed excitement for working out.

As much as I love to teach. I am an outdoors person; I love paddleboarding, hiking, horseback riding, and snowshoeing with my husband. This is where I can see my Pilates and others training practices help me do the activities I love.

Christina has changed everything for me. I am stronger and more confident. She meets me where I am when I have pain that comes from scoliosis. She is understanding and encouraging. Weekly Therapeutic Pilates with her helps me walk daily and I have more endurance when I travel.

What her students haver to say about Therapeutic Pilates sessions:

After my knee surgery, I struggled with rehab and getting back to pre-injury strength and mobility. After I finished physical therapy, Christina’s therapeutic pilates helped me gain my confidence and strength in my knee. Having Pilates in my body helped me recover faster and break down the walls of guarding within my body and begin to push myself mentally to do more.
